Ryan Seacrest Not in Any Rush to Get Engaged Months After Split From Girlfriend
Ryan Seacrest hosted “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.” He has been ringing in the New Year in New York for two decades.
Prior to the ball drop, the “American Idol” host discussed the happenings in Times Square during an interview on “Good Morning America.” During the interview, Seacrest talked about all the people who get engaged in Manhattan on New Year’s Eve.
“That’s something that’s happened almost every single year. Some of it makes TV, some of it doesn’t, but people love that moment to say, ‘Will you be with me for the rest of our lives?’” Seacrest, 50, said.
When GMA’s Will Reeve joked that he should have waited to propose on air with Seacrest, the radio personality joked, “there’s still time for me.”
“You’ve got this, Ryan. We won’t rush you, though,” Reeve said.
“Yeah, please. I’m taking my time,” Seacrest responded.
Seacrest has never been married or engaged. He doesn’t have any children.
Ryan Seacrest & Aubrey Paige Split in 2024
As far as the public knows, Seacrest will be heading into 2025 as a single man.
He and his now-ex-girlfriend Aubrey Paige split in 2024, with a rep for Seacrest confirming the news to People magazine in April.
“After three beautiful years together, Ryan and Aubrey have mutually decided to part ways,” a source told the outlet. “They plan to stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors,” the source added.
The two had been together since 2021.
Ryan Seacrest Has Been Focused on His Career
Over the years, Seacrest has been romantically linked to a few women, including Julianne Hough and Shayna Taylor. However, he’s been really focused on his career, which could be part of the reason that marriage and kids haven’t come around for him yet.
Aside from hosting “Idol,” Seacrest also hosts a radio show. He was also on “Live!” with Kelly Ripa for some time, making him bi-coastal. In September 2024, Seacrest took over “Wheel of Fortune” hosting duties following Pat Sajak’s retirement.
“I’ve been watching the show all my life. I think that this is a show that means so much to a lot of people. It’s a part of their lives, they like to get together at the end of the day and try and solve the puzzles. And for me, it’s a chance to give away cash and prizes and work with the legendary Vanna White,” he told People in September 2023.
