Brad Pitt Drops Bombshell Confession: You Won’t Believe What It Really Feels Like Behind the Wheel of an F1 Car — and Why Racing with Travis and Jason Left Him Completely Shaken!

Brad Pitt confesses how INTENSE it actually is driving F1 cars with Travis and JasonHollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt is no stranger to action-packed roles, but his latest venture has taken adrenaline to a whole new level. In a recent candid interview, the Oscar-winning actor opened up about just how intense it was to drive real Formula 1 cars alongside NFL brothers Travis and Jason Kelce as part of his upcoming film project centered on the world of F1 racing. What started as a Hollywood production quickly turned into an unforgettable experience that blurred the lines between acting and real-life racing grit.

From Red Carpet to Race Track

At 60 years old, Brad Pitt continues to defy expectations—not only with his roles but also with his physical commitment to them. His upcoming F1 film, produced in collaboration with Lewis Hamilton and directed by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski, has been gaining traction among fans of both motorsport and cinema. But the star took his preparation to another level by actually getting behind the wheel of an F1 car.

Joining him for the high-octane adventure were none other than NFL superstars Travis and Jason Kelce. The Kelce brothers, known for their dominance on the football field and their viral podcast New Heights, were invited to get a taste of F1 for a special segment filmed with Pitt during one of the movie’s shooting days.

And the experience? According to Pitt, it was “absolutely mind-blowing.”

“It’s Not Just Acting—It’s Surviving Out There”

In the interview, Pitt didn’t sugarcoat the challenge.

“You think you’ve driven fast cars in movies before—chases, stunts, green screen—but nothing prepares you for this,” he said. “The speed, the pressure in the cockpit, the way your body feels when you hit those corners—it’s not just acting. It’s surviving out there.”

Pitt described the training he underwent to prepare for his role as a retired F1 driver making a comeback. The actor spent several months with professional racing instructors, logged hours in advanced simulators, and even worked alongside current F1 drivers to understand the technical demands and mental strain involved in racing.

But when the Kelce brothers showed up for what was supposed to be a fun, light-hearted shoot, the intensity level hit the roof.

Travis and Jason Kelce Get a Taste of F1 Madness

The first big trailer for Brad Pitt's 'F1' is here, and it looks… rather good | Top Gear

“They came in like, ‘Hey man, let’s do this!’ with that football player swagger,” Pitt recalled with a laugh. “But the second they strapped into those suits and helmets, you could see the reality hit them. This wasn’t Madden. This was a whole different ballgame.”

The Kelces were filmed as part of a promotional clip and were given modified F2-style cars for safety. Even so, the experience gave them a full-throttle jolt of what F1 drivers endure.

Jason Kelce, the elder brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center, said:

“I thought I knew what intensity was. I’ve played in Super Bowls. But the second we launched out of the pit lane, I realized—I had no idea.”

Travis, fresh off another championship season with the Kansas City Chiefs, echoed his brother’s awe.

“You feel like your whole body is being compressed. It’s like your brain has to catch up to what your eyes are seeing. I got out of that car and looked at Brad like, ‘How are you even acting while doing this?’”

Brad Pitt’s Respect for the F1 World

Pitt was quick to note that his experience, though thrilling, gave him a deep respect for professional drivers.

“People see F1 as glamorous—and it is, in some ways. But what these athletes do on that track is next-level. It’s not just talent; it’s years of precision, endurance, and mental discipline,” he said. “You’re fighting physics, your own body, and the tiniest misjudgment could be fatal. It’s humbling.”

He added that his goal with the movie isn’t just to entertain, but to capture that essence.

“We want to show people that F1 isn’t just fast cars and pretty shots. There’s real humanity in there—ambition, failure, comeback, pain, glory.”

The Movie: A Glimpse into F1’s Soul

The yet-untitled F1 film will see Pitt playing a former racing champion who returns to mentor a young driver, played by Damson Idris, while also facing his own inner demons and unresolved rivalries. Unlike typical racing films, this production is unique in that it was filmed during actual F1 race weekends with real teams and pit crews participating. Pitt and Idris were embedded with the fictional team “APXGP” but shot alongside real-world giants like Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull.

The film also boasts an all-star production team, with Lewis Hamilton not just consulting but also serving as a hands-on producer. According to Pitt, Hamilton’s guidance was crucial.

“Lewis has been incredible. He wasn’t just telling us what to do—he was making sure we didn’t make it look fake. He’d say, ‘No, that’s not how you sit in the car’ or ‘You wouldn’t talk like that in the garage.’ He’s kept us grounded in truth.”

A Bond Forged in Speed

Pitt’s unexpected bonding with the Kelce brothers has also become one of the highlights of the project.

“We were just three guys out there pushing ourselves past our limits,” he said. “They may come from football, and I come from film, but out on that track, we were all just rookies trying not to crash.”

The Kelces, too, seem to have taken something meaningful from the experience.

Jason Kelce reflected, “It gave me a new lens on what athletes go through in different sports. I thought I knew pressure. But racing at 200+ mph on narrow streets in Monaco or Singapore? That’s a different beast.”

Final Thoughts: “This Isn’t Just a Movie—It’s an Experience”

As Pitt wraps filming, he says the F1 project has changed him—not just as an actor but as a person.

“It’s one of the most physically and mentally demanding things I’ve ever done,” he admitted. “I’ve never felt so alive, or so nervous. But that’s the beauty of it. This isn’t just a movie—it’s an experience. And I hope when people see it, they’ll feel a little bit of what we felt out there on the track.”

Whether you’re a fan of Brad Pitt, Formula 1, or the Kelce brothers, one thing is clear: this project is racing toward greatness with more than just speed—it’s fueled by respect, passion, and the sheer human thrill of defying limits.
