Tom Cruise Reveals Shocking Number of Movies He’s Working on Right Now
Tom Cruise is the definition of “all gas, no brakes.”
Tom Cruise wasn’t kidding when he said he loves making movies. He also seems dead set on backing up the comments recently made about making movies until he’s 100 years old.
Cruise previously told The Hollywood Reporter that after initially stating he plans to make films into his 80s, that number has now jumped up even higher.
“I actually said I’m going to make movies into my 80s; actually, I’m going to make them into my 100s,” Cruise said.
Cruise, 62, still has a ways to go until he reaches that mark, but if his current workload is any indication, don’t be surprised if he finds a way to keep trucking while pushing close to his personal goal.
Cruise previously told The Backstage Experience that he’s working on eight different movies with Mission: Impossible director Christopher McQuarrie.
“McQ and I have so many movies we’re working on,” Cruise said. “…Literally, like, there’s eight films that we’re working on right now and prepping and getting ready.”
That’s simply an absurd number of movies to be putting together at one time, regardless of what stage each one is in. However, it’s not entirely surprising, given that Cruise is the epitome of a workaholic when it comes to moviemaking.
While it’d be fair to expect Cruise to take even a short break after once again doing all of his own stunts in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, the actor continues to keep his foot on the gas and sights set on what lies ahead.
