Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas are continuing to be a total question mark in the celebrity dating world, and Armas’ latest comments about parenting have everyone talking again.

Armas previously told the Italian publication, F Magazine, via the Daily Mail, that she definitely wants kids; and the timing of this comment has everyone talking.

“Yes, I would like to have children and a family, soon if possible,” she said. “But it doesn’t just depend on me. As we know, love is unpredictable, you never know when true love will come. Relationships can’t be controlled: life is not a movie.”

As of July 2025, Armas has no children, but Cruise has three: He adopted Bella, 32, and Connor, 30, with his second wife Nicole Kidman, and welcomed a daughter named Suri, 19, with ex-wife Katie Holmes. But after this comment, fans are wondering if Armas will become a mom, and if she’ll raise a family with Cruise.

Now, it’s still unclear if they’re dating, or if she’s dating Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel. Earlier this year, sources told People that the Cruise and Armas, as well as their agents, all dined together in London, “discussing potential collaborations down the line.” And they noted that de Armas and Cruise “appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends.”

However, insiders claim it’s something else entirely; and it’s pretty clear Armas won’t comment publicly on it. In a previous interview with Variety in 2022, she talked about how her public breakup with ex Ben Affleck made her want to be less vocal about her dating life. “I’m just interested in my work. I want to be remembered for that,” she said. “The other side, I’m not interested.”
