Jason Bateman Makes Rare Comment on Friend Jennifer Aniston’s Dating Life amid Her New Romance with Jim Curtis

Jason Bateman, one of Jennifer Aniston‘s best friends, is shedding some light on her love life amid her blossoming new romance.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, Bateman makes a rare comment on what the Friends actress needs in a potential partner, all without mentioning her new boyfriend Jim Curtis by name.
“It’s not surprising to me that she’s not some serial dater, not because she’s overly picky or snobby,” Bateman said. “You don’t need to be some superhero to grab her attention. If you are comfortable in your skin, she gravitates to you.”
“The challenge is for a guy to see past her fame and charisma and presence and beauty — to not be distracted by that — and tune into the stuff at the deep core,” the Arrested Development actor addd.
When the first photos of Aniston and Curtis emerged, they were from a yacht trip the couple were on with Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, in Mallorca.
Aniston and Curtis seemed to be getting close in the paparazzi shots from last month that first sparked dating rumors.

In one photo, it appears that Curtis is rubbing Aniston’s shoulders while, in another, the LolaVie founder is close to grabbing the hypnotherapist’s hand. There was also a shot of the couple seemingly embracing and possibly sharing a kiss.
After the trip with Aniston and her famous friends, Curtis reflected on his time away in a newsletter, per Page Six.
“When I was sick, sad, stuck and in pain, I never thought I would have the abundance, joy and love I now experience on a daily basis,” he wrote. “I just took one step, made one decision and the next followed — now I look back and realize, oh! That course, that life change, that pain, resulted in this magic.”
Earlier this month, Aniston and Curtis were spotted out on a three-hour-long double date with Bateman and Anka in New York City.
Multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE in July that Aniston and Curtis were dating.
“[They are] casually dating and having fun,” one insider said.

Another source told PEOPLE that Curtis is “very different” from anyone Aniston has dated before, but that she was “in a very good place right now — grounded, fulfilled and very happy.”
The source noted that the pair had “been seeing each other for a few months now” but that it was “still casual.”
“They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends. Jen had read his book and was familiar with his work. She’s really into self-help and wellness,” the source explained. “She’s been happy on her own, but she’s also open to sharing her life with someone. As long as it feels right.”
