“Simone Biles Is Just So Incredible” – Serena Williams

Williams has previously praised Biles, describing her as “incredible.” She also mentioned that she wished she could be like the gymnast and have her mentality when she was younger.

“I think all of the women are so poised. I really find them so amazing, especially Biles. Her comments, her performance, I feel like she’s 35 years old, mentally. She’s just so incredible,” Williams said. “If anything, I wish I could be like her when I was younger. It could be that society’s changed and there are so many things that are different now.”

The former World No. 1 expressed that Biles embodies the limitless potential of Black women and serves as a powerful role model for many.

“Simone strikes the powerful balance between humility and confidence–she’s enthusiastic yet stoic, believing in her strength, trusting her body and embracing her greatness. What she embodies truly reflects the endless potential of Black women. I wish I had her to look up to when I was younger and trying to realize my dreams,” Williams stated.

To date, Biles has won 11 Olympic medals, the highest number earned by a U.S. gymnast, and 30 World Championship medals, among numerous other awards.
