Inside Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian’s Life With Daughters Olympia and Adira
Ohanian and Williams have often offered fans rare glimpses into their home life, particularly when it comes to their two daughters. Olympia, born in September 2017, has been in the public eye since infancy, often joining her parents courtside or appearing in promotional campaigns. The couple welcomed their second child, Adira River Ohanian, in August 2023.
Ohanian has frequently spoken about how fatherhood has reshaped his perspective, and he hasn’t shied away from celebrating parenting milestones on his platforms.
In a photo shared on X, Olympia could be seen floating underwater with impressive poise, her arms extended and striking a thumbs-up pose and her eyes open.
Ohanian Opens Up About How Olympia Helped Him Find Himself Post-Reddit Exit
Ohanian said his daughter, Olympia, inspired him to start his venture capital firm, Seven Seven Six, after he faced an identity crisis following his resignation from Reddit. He stepped down from Reddit’s board in 2020 over concerns about its stance on hate speech, pledging to donate his earnings to fight racial injustice.
In an interview clip posted on X, Ohanian reflected on his departure from Reddit, revealing that he had hoped other leaders would follow his lead, though that didn’t happen.
“When I stepped away from Reddit, I resigned in protest from the board, urging the company to ban hate communities and some of the other things I found pretty offensive. It’s funny I naively thought that, that would motivate a bunch of other executives to resign as well. Turns out no one else did. But I had this, identity crisis for the first couple of months,” he said.
Reflecting on that period, he credited Olympia as his “North Star,” saying she helped him find new purpose and direction through fatherhood.
“Because here’s this company I spent 15,16 years of my life building, and now I had to figure out who I was going to be for the rest of my years. Olympia was in many ways my North Star. And I said, I want to keep building businesses, and I want to be doing in a way that I know I’m going to be proud of.”
“So that’s why I started Seven Seven Six. I am going to use this to drive the best possible business outcomes in a way that I can brag to my daughters and hopefully grandkids about one day.”
