Price Is Right’s Drew Carey wowed by rare occurrence on the wheel

The Price Is Right’s Drew Carey was shocked by a rare occurrence on the Showcase wheel that resulted in a couple of massive wins
The Price Is Right‘s host, Drew Carey, was shocked by a rare occurrence on the Showcase wheel that resulted in massive wins for a couple of contestants.
During the June 24 episode of the hit CBS game show, player Trisha landed on $1, which earned her $1k, after the first half of the show.
Player Charlene then spun two numbers that also equalled $1, also earning her $1k. The contestants then battled it out by spinning one more time each, with the hopes of landing on 5,10, or $1 to win tons more cash.
Either way, whoever landed on the biggest number went ahead to the Showcase round.
Trisha spun a 25 while Charlene landed on 95, moving her along to win more prizes after already winning a home gardening package and an outdoor kitchen island.

Then, after the next three players finished their games, player Heather took to the wheel, and earned another $1.
A shocked Carey exclaimed to audience members and viewers at home, “Third dollar spin today! Third dollar spin today!”
Heather then got her second spin and landed on a 5, winning $10k, and $11k all together and a spot in the Showcase.
There, she went up against Charlene, who bid $29k on trips to Hawaii and Thailand and a motorcycle.
Heather then bid $23k on a tennis, golf, and baseball package, a camera package, and an SUV. However, her luck seemingly ran out after her success on the wheel.
She big more than $5k under, compared to Charlene’s $2k.
Yesterday’s episode also saw a major rare occurance that left Carey stunned. A player made history by being the first person to win a diffcult game on their first try in 20 years, something he’d never seen since becoming host.

Player Alyssa took to the stage to meet Carey after guessing the nearest retail price of a beach package that included beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler.
Announcer George Gray then revealed she had the chance to win a sedan if she won a game called Cover Up, which sees a contestant shown a series of digits, which they use to form the price of the car, covering up picture cards on the bottom.
Before Alyssa made her move, Carey informed her of a detail that put the pressure on tenfold. He told her, “If you get the price correct on the first try, congratulations, you’ll be the first winner in Price is Right history, probably.”
However, Carey wanted to confirm his statement with one of the guys behind the camera, asking, “Has anyone gotten it right on the first try ever Chris?” Chris shook his head.
As far as Carey knew, no one had ever won the game for as long as he’d been host, which has been since 2007, when he took over for Bob Barker.
“Long time ago, back when – probably when Bob was host, not when I was host,” Carey added to Alyssa.
The contestant then formed what she thought was the price of the car, putting $24,796, and was correct.
As she looked stunned, covering her mouth with her hands, Carey looked like he was going to drop to the floor with his astonishment, repeating to the audience and viewers at home, “I can’t believe it.”
When it came time for Alyssa and her opponents to spin the wheel, Carey further cemented Alyssa’s win, telling her, “The last time somebody did what you just did was June of 2007, I found out during the break, been a while. Not since I’ve been the host.”
Carey and viewers were treated to another shock as Alyssa then spun $1, earning her $1k, another spin on the wheel, and a spot in the Showcase round.
The comedian joked, as he touched Alyssa’s shoulder, “Touch you for luck,” before advising her to go to Las Vegas after the show.
As Alyssa did her second spin, Carey jokingly bowed serveral times, but, unfortunately, the contestant landed only one number away from 15, which could’ve earned her another $15k. Her luck ran out in the Showcase when she and her opponent both bid over.
