WNBA Star Sophie Cunningham Shocks Fans and Silences Critics—Her Defiant Response to Backlash Over Daring, Barely-There Pregame Outfits Will Leave You Speechless!

WNBA star Sophie Cunningham hits back at criticism of her risqué, barely-there pregame outfits
Phoenix Mercury guard Sophie Cunningham did not stay quiet after fans cried foul on her pregame outfits amid the WNBA‘s booming popularity.
Off the court, Cunningham built a reputation as one of the league’s boldest dressers. With an array of pregame fits this season, the ever-growing fanbase has had mixed opinions about her wardrobe.
The veteran turned heads before a game against the New York Liberty in late August with her Love Island-inspired outfit, dawning a revealing dress that showed off her tan lines. After fans raised questions over the dress, Cunningham clapped back by saying the outfit was ‘mom approved’.
‘I was just talking to someone, and I was like, ‘Actually my mom picked that outfit out,” Cunningham told Fox News Digital with a laugh.
‘Everyone’s all in my comments about, ‘Oh, your parents –‘ and I’m like, actually, that was my mom’s doing. But, no, I had no idea,’ she responded when asked if she thought the tan line reveal would be controversial.

With a 74-66 win over the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday, the Mercury secured their 14 playoff appearance in 16 seasons.
Although they gave up a tough 90-77 loss to the Washington Mystics in on Thursday, Phoenix’s postseason dreams are locked in – holding a 17-18 record with five games left.
